Apple Bag Search – level 1

21-02-2020 15:00

Apple store employees clock out when they stop work. Then they have to have their bags, packages, and personal Apple items searched. Employees say that the searches can take 5 to 20 minutes.

The highest court in California, USA, does not like this. It says that Apple must pay its employees for this time. It says that this time is the same as the time at work. The court rules that Apple has to pay employees money as far back as the summer of 2009.

Difficult words: clock out (to be done at work for the day), highest (the most powerful), rule (to make a decision that someone must follow).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
