People love giant pandas. They are cute and fun to watch. So many zoos want them.

Zoos pay China a lot of money every year to keep pandas. They pay 1 million dollars a year for each panda. China can do this because pandas live only in China.

China uses pandas to be friends with other countries. But if China is not happy, it can take the pandas back. This happens in 2023 when China and the US have problems. China takes its pandas away.

Now, pandas are back in Washington, D.C., but this does not mean China and the US are friends again. China may take the pandas back in the future.

Difficult words: cute (nice to look at, sweet), future (the time to come).
