Good news – level 3
18-04-2025 15:00
Traditional news often focuses on fear and sadness; however, watching good news can change your outlook on life. Here are just some examples of recent good news!
An Asian elephant was the first to get a vaccine against a deadly virus. Narwhals, once at risk, are now thriving due to conservation efforts. Endangered birds are being taught to migrate again using small planes.
Good news can also be found in people. A man in China has saved over 450 people from suicide. A man with terminal cancer ran over 15 marathons and raised money for charity. A woman found a kidney donor match while hiking. Indonesia is giving free lunches to 80 million kids to fight malnutrition. India expanded free healthcare for elderly citizens. And four Black medical schools in the US received 600 million dollars.
These stories show how good news can make us feel better and remind us there is still so much hope in the world.
Difficult words: suicide (when a person takes their own life), terminal (the last stage of a serious illness), malnutrition (not getting enough healthy food).
