How to travel cheaply – level 2

17-01-2025 07:00

Travel is likely to cost more in 2025. Flights are becoming more expensive because airlines are cutting routes, and budget airlines are having trouble.

To save money, people should look at cheaper places like Canada or parts of the US. Experts suggest avoiding popular places like Paris or London and choosing smaller destinations such as Sicily or Scandinavia.

Planning trips for spring or off-seasons can also reduce costs. Using apps like Hopper or Skyscanner to track flight prices is helpful. If ticket prices drop after booking, you might get travel credits, but only for certain types of tickets. When you can change your travel plans easily and use price alerts, you can still travel cheaply in 2025.

Difficult words: budget airline (an airline which tries to keep prices lower than other airlines), avoid (to keep away from something), off-season (a time of year when business or a particular activity is low).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What are some strategies suggested in the text to travel cheaply in 2025?
