Long wave in China – level 2
Thousands of people watched the tidal bore of Qiantang River in China. The one-line tide is a special tidal bore that rolls forward. It moves at the same speed and creates a straight line. The phenomenon usually starts at the beginning of the eighth month.
The natural wonder attracts many surfers and tourists.
Difficult words: tidal (relating to a tide which is the rising and falling of the sea), bore (wave caused by the meeting of two tides), phenomenon (something which happens in the nature).
You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
