Man fights to meet his true parents – level 1
29-04-2025 15:00
It is the year 1958. A baby is born in a Tokyo hospital. But the hospital makes a mistake. They switch two babies. They grow up in the wrong family.
The man’s name is Egura Satoshi. When he is about 30, he starts to think that he has different parents. A test shows that he is right. When he gets older, he wants to find his real parents. He asks the Tokyo government, but they say no. So he goes to court. A court says that the government must help him find his real family.
Egura is now 67 years old. He hopes that he can meet his real mother and father. He also wants to meet brothers or sisters. But he still loves the parents who raise him.
Difficult words: switch (to change), court (a place where people go for legal matters), raise (to take care of and help a child grow).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What did Egura Satoshi do after the Tokyo government refused to help him find his real parents?
