Men steal a golden toilet – level 2

13-11-2023 07:00

Police accused four men of taking an expensive gold toilet from a palace in southern England.

The toilet was 18-carat gold and was worth about 5.9 million dollars. It was part of an art show by an Italian artist at Blenheim Palace, which is a famous place and very old. The robbery happened early in the morning in 2019 when the burglars used two vehicles to break into the palace.

Nobody knows where the toilet named America is right now. Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill, was very sad when the toilet disappeared. In the past, the toilet was part of an exhibition in New York’s Guggenheim Museum before. The four men will go to court on November 28.

Difficult words: accuse (when you say that someone did something wrong), robbery (stealing things from a place), birthplace (the place where a person is born).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What is the current whereabouts of the gold toilet "America" that was stolen from Blenheim Palace?
