Pope Francis dies – level 1
25-04-2025 07:00
Pope Francis is dead. He dies at 88 years old. He dies in his home in the Vatican on Easter Monday.
He is sick before Easter. He has trouble with his lungs. He goes to the hospital. Then he comes home and rests. On Sunday, he is outside. He says Happy Easter to many people. This is the last time people see him alive.
Cardinal Farrell gives the sad news. He says that Pope Francis works for God and helps the Church. Pope Francis also helps poor people. He wants to be kind and live simply. He becomes Pope in 2013. He comes from Latin America.
Difficult words: lungs (the organs which we need to breathe), alive (not dead), poor (when someone has very little money).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What health issue did Pope Francis face before Easter that led him to go to the hospital?
