Actress Scarlett Johansson is upset. OpenAI has a new chatbot. The model comes out last week. It uses a voice which sounds like Johansson’s voice.

The actress says no when OpenAI asks her to be the voice for the new chatbot. When the chatbot comes out, people think that it is Johannson. The voice sounds like her in the 2013 film Her. OpenAI’s boss, Sam Altman, uses the word ‘her’ on social media. It seems like Johannson is the idea for the voice.

OpenAI will remove the voice. They do not mean the voice to be like Johansson’s. Open AI chooses the voice before asking her. This problem shows how hard it is to keep people safe in the AI world.

Difficult words: upset (angry or sad), chatbot (a computer program which talks to you), remove (to take away).
