SpaceX Passes Test – level 2

24-01-2020 15:00

SpaceX tested the in-flight abort system of the Crew Dragon astronaut capsule. The successful test happened at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.

The test showed the Crew Dragon capsule escape from the SpaceX rocket after launch to pretend that it was an emergency.

NASA is working with SpaceX and Boeing to create spacecraft to take US astronauts to the International Space Station. The US’s Space Shuttle program stopped in 2011.

CNN said that the Crew Dragon could finish its certification soon.

Difficult words: in-flight abort system (a program that people use while they fly in a plane or a spacecraft and the program lets them escape if there is an emergency), capsule (a small part of a large thing), certification (official tests to show that something is done with its development).
