Stuck cable car – level 1

28-10-2014 15:00

Here is news from Germany. A family is in a cable car cabin. It is 130 feet (40 metres) above a river. The weather is not good. Strong wind is blowing.

The wind stops the cabin. The family must wait for help for hours. They are with a two-month-old baby and a toddler.

Help comes and it saves the family. Everybody is fine.

Difficult words: cable car cabin (a box for people to ride inside which is on a big line and moves up and down a mountain), toddler (a young child who is beginning to walk), fine (safe).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.

Are you afraid to use a cable car because something like this may happen?
