Roman Abramovich is a rich man from Russia. He owns Chelsea Football Club some time ago.
A new report shows that he uses fake papers to hide his money and pay less tax. Advisers help him hide big boats, planes, and expensive houses. These things cost hundreds of millions of dollars. Because he is a close friend of Russia’s president, many countries stop him from doing business there. Now, his big boats are in Turkey.
Experts say that hiding money with fake papers is a crime. Abramovich says that he does nothing wrong. He only does what his advisers tell him to do.
Difficult words: hide (to put something in a place where others cannot see or find it), tax (money which you must pay to the government), crime (an illegal action).
