Troubles after the Champions League final – level 2
06-06-2025 15:00
After PSG won the Champions League over Inter Milan, there was trouble in France.
People went to the streets to celebrate, but many fights started. The police arrested 491 people in Paris and more in other places. Two people died, one was a teenager, and one was riding a scooter.
Fireworks and fires caused many problems. A police officer was badly hurt by a firework. Still, most fans were peaceful. On Sunday, PSG had a parade, and it was calm. The club said the bad actions were not from real fans.
Some politicians were angry. One said bad people made the streets unsafe. Others said the police were too strong. In Munich, PSG and Inter fans fought at a train station. In another city, a car hit people during a party.
Difficult words: peaceful (calm), parade (a line of people celebrating in the street).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
