President Trump stops new US wind projects. He says that wind turbines look bad. They cost too much and are bad for animals.
Denmark’s Orsted has the most problems. Its shares fall 17%. The company loses 1.69 billion dollars from US projects, including Sunrise Wind. Sunrise Wind should be the largest US wind farm. But now, some of Orsted’s US land is useless.
Other wind companies, like Portugal’s EDP Renovaveis, Germany’s RWE, and Norway’s Equinor, also lose money, but not as much.
Difficult words: wind turbine (a machine which makes energy from wind), share (a part of a company which a person or another company can buy), useless (something you cannot use or you cannot use it for what you want to).
