Denmark and the US argue about Greenland. President Trump says that the US needs Greenland for safety. Denmark and Greenland say no. They say that Greenland will stay with Denmark.

Greenland is part of Denmark. But Denmark does not rule there. The US has soldiers in Denmark. Trump says that Greenland is important because of Russia and China. Denmark says that it will send more soldiers.

The countries will talk again soon. Many people in the US do not want Greenland. Trump says that he may use trade rules to get what he wants. Countries which support Greenland may pay higher tariffs on US products.

Difficult words: argue (to speak against someone), safety (a situation when everyone is safe), tariff (a tax on products which come into a country).
