Twitter Boss Hacked – level 2

04-09-2019 15:00

Jack Dorsey is the CEO of Twitter who also uses Twitter himself. He has around 4 million followers, and last Friday, somebody hacked his account.

Twelve tweets came from his account within 20 minutes. Some included racial slurs. One tweet said that there was a bomb at Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco. Another tweet told people to follow a certain account or else a bomb would explode at Twitter headquarters.

People took the shocking tweets down in less than an hour. Twitter later said that the account and all of Twitter was secure again.

Difficult words: CEO (a chief executive officer – the boss), slur (an insult, something which hurts another person), headquarters (the head offices).
