USA wins men’s hockey Olympic gold – level 2

The US men’s hockey team beat Canada 2–1 in overtime and won the Olympic gold medal. It is their first gold medal since 1980.
The game was very exciting and close. Canada had more shots on goal, but the American goalie played very well. After the score was 1–1 at the end of normal time, Jack Hughes scored the winning goal in overtime. He even lost some teeth earlier in the game, but continued playing. Many of the players are NHL stars and usually play together during the season.
This is also the first time that both US men and women won Olympic gold in hockey at the same Games. Norway finished first in total medals, and the United States finished second.
Difficult words: overtime (extra time played when there is no winner after the normal time), goalie (the player who stops the puck from going inside the goal), total (the full number or amount).
