EU boss visits the Poland-Belarus border

Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission President, visits Poland. She says that she will help countries near Russia and Belarus.

The European Union will spend more money for the next seven years. The money will go to the borders with Russia and Belarus. It will help people move safely and defend themselves. Countries near Russia and Belarus get extra money. Borders are for all of Europe. Money for borders will be bigger, for army movement bigger, and for defense bigger.

The European Union wants countries to work together. They want to make sure everyone is safe and ready for problems.

Difficult words: border (a line between countries), defend (to keep safe from danger or attack).
