Physics Nobel Prize – level 2

Three scientists — John Clarke, Michel Devoret, and John Martinis — win the Nobel Prize in Physics for their work in quantum mechanics.
They discovered how very small particles can behave in strange ways, and their work helps build quantum computers, which can calculate faster than normal computers.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Sweden announced the winners, who will share 11 million Swedish kronor. Their research started decades ago, but it is very important today. It helps scientists and companies create new technology, like better computers and new ways to solve difficult problems. Many banks and industries now use ideas from their work.
Difficult words: quantum mechanics (a science which studies very small things and how they behave in unusual ways), particle (a very small piece of matter), quantum computer (a computer that uses quantum mechanics to process information much faster than other computers).
