Epstein files – level 3
26-12-2025 07:00
The US Department of Justice has begun to publish many files about Jeffrey Epstein after Congress passed a law that required this action.
The files appear on an official government website called the Epstein Library. The department says it tried to remove private details to protect victims and sensitive material. Because the number of files is very large, officials warn that errors may exist and ask people to report them. Journalists say it will take time to understand what the files truly show. The documents include court papers, records from investigations, interviews, public tips, and items taken by police. Some parts remain hidden because they could name victims, show sexual abuse, or affect ongoing cases.
Many survivors say the release causes worry and doesn’t give clear answers. The case has strong political effects. President Trump promised to release the files; however, critics say the process feels slow and unclear. Politicians from both parties now ask for more openness, and public trust remains a key issue.
Difficult words: error (a mistake), sexual abuse (when someone is forced into sexual actions), survivor (a person who lived through harm).
