Fake AI ads – level 3

15-07-2026 07:00

Social media platforms are being flooded with ultra-realistic ads created by AI to sell products that either don’t exist or turn out to be cheap junk.

Scammers use AI because it allows them to generate professional-looking videos and fake customer testimonials quickly and cheaply without real photoshoots. These ads appear on both shady websites and legitimate platforms like Amazon. Clicking these dangerous links can instantly download malware onto a user’s machine or expose them to phishing attacks, which can lead to repeated unauthorized credit card transactions and data theft.

Experts note that these ads easily slip through automated moderation systems due to the sheer volume of new content. To stay safe, users should always do a reverse image search, carefully verify unfamiliar website URLs, look out for strange bot-like comments, and remain deeply cautious of suspicious celebrity endorsements or any online offers that look too perfect to be true.

Difficult words: ultra-realistic (looking or sounding so incredibly real that it is almost impossible to see that it was made by a computer), junk (things that have no real value, are broken, or are of very bad quality; trash), customer testimonials (short statements, reviews, or videos where people say how good a product is and why they love buying it), sheer (very large size, huge amount, or great number of something).

You can watch the video news lower on this page.

What safety precautions should users follow to protect themselves from scam ads that can download malware, enable phishing, and lead to repeated unauthorized credit card transactions?
