Made in Qatar – level 2

30-10-2026 07:00

Qatar is working hard to create its own products and build strong local businesses. The country wants to rely less on oil and increase its national food security.

Local farming companies now produce fresh chicken, eggs, and dairy for almost the whole population. They use modern, eco-friendly methods like solar power and water recycling. Also, young business owners are making healthy plant-based foods, juices, and snacks. They are planning to sell them to neighboring countries soon. Qatar is also investing in new technology, such as building its first electric car factory.

Through these green initiatives, companies are supporting local talent, creating new jobs, and showing the world that their homegrown products offer great quality and sustainability.

Difficult words: food security (when people have enough good food), initiative (an important new plan or action), sustainability (using natural resources in a way which doesn’t harm the planet).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

How are local farming companies using modern, eco-friendly methods to produce food for Qatar’s population?
