Musician Rick Wakeman played a piano concert for 150 rescued bears in Vietnam. The performance took place outside at a large animal sanctuary in Tam Dao National Park.

Wakeman wrote special gentle music to make the bears feel happy and calm. He wanted to help 125 other bears that are still kept in small metal cages on bile farms. People on these farms keep bears in tiny spaces and take liquid from their gallbladders for traditional medicine.

Wakeman started supporting the sanctuary in 2016 and even adopted a young bear. He hopes his music concert will help people understand the problem and convince the government to move the rest of the bears from the farms to the safe sanctuary soon, where they can run, play, and live on green grass.

Difficult words: sanctuary (a safe place where animals are protected from harm), bile (a bitter fluid which helps process food in your body), gallbladder (a small organ in the body which holds and stores bile).
