AI scams – level 2
24-10-2025 15:00
AI is now everywhere – on phones, websites, and social media. It helps people, but it also gives scammers new ways to lie.
One danger is deepfake technology. Scammers can use AI to copy someone’s voice or face and make fake videos or phone calls that look real. They can ask for money or pretend to rent an apartment. These tricks are becoming more difficult to see.
To stay safe, people should check where information comes from, think before they act, and look for strange signs like robotic speech or strange faces in videos. Talking about scams with family and friends can also help stop them.
Difficult words: scammer (a person who lies to get money), deepfake (realistic fake video or image made by AI), pretend (to act as if something is true when it is not).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What warning signs should people look for to spot AI-generated deepfake videos or phone calls?
