Anti-Semitic Incident – level 3

21-02-2019 07:00

Yellow vest protests have taken place in Paris for the 14th consecutive weekend.

A small group of them shouted anti-Semitic insults at a 69-year-old Jewish philosopher. The police later arrived in the video to protect the man from possible violence.

In the Parisian city centre, police used tear gas to break up thousands of protesters. The French president said that these situations are the absolute opposite of what makes France great.

Difficult words: consecutive (following one after another), anti-Semitic (anti-Jewish), insult (saying something which makes the person feel very bad).
