Baby One-Horned Rhino – level 2

25-05-2018 15:00

At the Chester Zoo, a rare greater one-horned rhino calf was born. The birth took 20 minutes and the calf weighed 60 kilogrammes. Now, he has come out to the public.

The healthy calf is going to support the breeding programme for this type of rhino. The zoo is also working in Asia to help this rhino and its natural habitat.

Difficult words: calf (a baby animal such as a rhino or a cow), breeding programme (a method to help animals make and have babies), natural habitat (where an animal or a plant normally lives).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
