Chinese hackers attack US computers – level 1
13-01-2025 07:00
The US Treasury Department says Chinese hackers break into its computers. This happens in December. Hackers used a problem in third-party software.
China says it is not true. An expert, Ryan Kalember, says hackers use a software problem to get into important accounts. They take the information. Luckily, this information is not secret. Kalember says that this type of attack is usual. It happens often to big groups.
The expert says the attack is bad, but not the worst. The US government needs to work harder to stop hackers from using third-party software to break in again.
Difficult words: break into (to get into), third-party (a person or group besides the two main persons or groups), account (detailed information about all the money of a business or a person).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What does expert Ryan Kalember suggest the US government needs to do in order to prevent future hacking attempts using third-party software?
