Depardieu guilty – level 2

The French actor Gérard Depardieu was found guilty of sexually attacking two women on a film set in 2021.
He received an 18-month prison sentence, but he will not go to prison unless he does something wrong again. He can’t take part in elections for two years and will go on a special list of sex offenders. The two women worked on the film. One was a costume designer and the other was an assistant. Depardieu said he didn’t do anything wrong, but he agreed that he used bad words and touched one woman during a fight. He will pay them 1,000 and 2,000 euros.
More than 20 women accused him. Only one case went to court, but another case from 2018 may also go to court soon. Depardieu wants to appeal the court’s decision.
