Elvis Presley festival – level 3

09-01-2026 07:00

Elvis Presley fans and tribute artists started their yearly trip to a famous music festival in a small town in Australia.

They met at a main train station in Sydney and traveled 357 kilometers on the Elvis Express, a special train made for the event. Many fans wore Elvis clothes and enjoyed music on the long journey.

The seven-hour trip offered shows and live music from tribute artists who performed well-known Elvis songs. One singer from the UK said he decided to join the festival after people had told him how special it felt. He said Elvis’ music brought joy and helped people feel calm during hard times.

The festival takes place every January and brings a very large crowd to the town. Organizers expect about 24,000 visitors, which is double the number of local people. For many fans, the event offers happiness, music, and a break from daily stress.

Difficult words: tribute (show of respect), crowd (a large group of people in one place), stress (strong worry).
