European children are not strong anymore – level 1
07-08-2026 07:00
A big new study shows that children in Europe are not as strong as before.
Experts check the health of over 417,000 children in 20 countries. They find that young people have less muscle strength and less flexibility than children forty years ago. Many children also have more body fat now.
Doctors say that playing and exercising helps keep hearts and bodies healthy for the future. But more than 75% of teenagers in Europe do not move enough every day. Experts say that schools and cities must help children exercise more every day. It is the best way to stay healthy.
Difficult words: health (how your body and mind feel), muscle strength (how much you can push, pull, or lift), flexibility (when you can stretch and move your body easily).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What proportion of teenagers in Europe do not move enough every day?
