Fireworks in Cuba – level 3

Scores of people sustained burn injuries after fireworks caught alight in a storage area at a popular festival in one town in Cuba.

People said that some of the injured were in very serious condition, including six children. The cause of the incident, which happened on Christmas Eve, is being investigated.

The highlight of the Parrandas festival is typically a fireworks battle between two of the town’s neighbourhoods.
