Floods in Sierra Leone – level 1

17-08-2017 15:00

Sierra Leone is a country in West Africa. It rains a lot there. There are floods and mudslides because of the rain.

A part of a hill collapses at night. People do not have time to run away. Around 200 people die. Over 2,000 people lose their homes.

Difficult words: flood (a lot of water water which can break houses), mudslide (when water and earth mix, move and break things), collapse (fall down).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
