German AI robots – level 2

29-01-2025 07:00

Neura Robotics, led by David Reger, is a German company which creates cutting-edge robots. Their 4NE-1 humanoid robot can handle tasks at home and in factories.

David, who started as a social worker, learned about robotics with expert help. He found support in China and later raised 100 million euros in Europe. Neura’s factory is in Stuttgart, where they focus on automation.

The company makes cheap welding robots and develops sensors to identify humans. Neura employs 260 people from 35 countries and receives thousands of job applications each month. By 2030, they plan to make 5 million robots and expect 50 million euros in sales this year. Neura’s goal is to make robotics Germany’s top industry even bigger than cars.

Difficult words: cutting-edge (very modern), automation (machines doing tasks without people), welding (joining metal parts together by heating).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What is the goal of Neura Robotics for the robotics industry in Germany by 2030?
