Google’s newest campus – level 2

24-05-2022 07:00

Google built its newest campus in Silicon Valley, California.

The campus has three buildings with a total area of 93,000 square meters. It has two office buildings and one event building. Google wanted to create a completely new workplace which its employees would really love. Around 40,000 employees will work at the campus, and Google’s idea is they will work in the offices on some days of the week.

90,000 silver solar panels are on the roof, and they look like dragon scales. They can make 40% of the energy for the buildings. They have daylight inside, and employees get fresh air from the outside.

Difficult words: campus (the buildings of a college, university, or a large organization), workplace (a building or room where people work), scale (a part of the skin of fish, snakes, lizards, and so on).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
