India attacks Pakistan – level 2

09-05-2025 07:00

India started Operation Sindoor and attacked nine places in Pakistan and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

The Indian government said Pakistan used these places to plan attacks on India. They said they didn’t hit any military buildings and tried to avoid making the situation worse. This action came after a recent attack on tourists in Kashmir.

There were explosions in several regions, and some cities had power cuts. Pakistan said Indian bombs hit these places. They said the attack was wrong and said their planes were ready to answer.

India and Pakistan don’t have good relations, mainly because of the Kashmir area. The world is now watching to see what will happen next. People are hoping that things don’t get worse.

Difficult words: avoid (to stay away from doing something), recent (happening not long ago), power cut (when electricity stops working in a place).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

Why did India say it carried out these strikes, and what did it emphasize about how the operation was conducted?
