Lagoon Landing – level 3

03-10-2018 07:00

Air Niugini’s Boeing 737 (a Papua New Guinean airline) was trying to land on Chuuk Island in the Federated States of Micronesia, but it was forced to crash-land in a Pacific lagoon. All of the crew and 40–50 passengers on-board survived.

One of the crash survivors said that, unfortunately, the flight attendants panicked and started yelling. On the other hand, the locals really impressed him with their help, when they immediately started coming out on boats to help them. He escaped only with a grazed forehead, but he said that some people were injured severely.

Difficult words: impressed (feel respect for, admire), grazed (scratched).
