Magna Carta Crime – level 1

01-11-2018 07:00

The Magna Carta is a very important document. It is a legal document. It says that no one is above the law. This is even for kings or queens. People create it in 1215 AD in England.

Today, there are only four copies of the Magna Carta. One copy is in Salisbury Cathedral in southern England. It is inside a glass box.

The alarms activate when the glass is broken. A man tries to steal the document. However, police stop him. They arrest him. He is 45 years old.

Difficult words: legal (about the law), create (make), activate (turn on), steal (take).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
