A study says that by 2050, more than half of all adults and many young people will be overweight or obese.
Scientists warn that obesity will grow fast, especially in poor countries. China, India, and the US will have the most overweight people. Also, sub-Saharan Africa will see a big rise in obesity because of its growing population. Experts call obesity a global problem because it causes many health issues. They say governments must do something now to stop this bad situation.
The study also shows that as countries become richer more people get overweight because food is easier to get. If nothing changes, the number of obese people may more than double, which will bring serious health and money problems.
