Katya Echazarreta is born in Mexico. She moves to the United States as a child. She becomes an astronaut.

Katya is Mexico’s first woman astronaut. She becomes the youngest American to go to space. She works in the Blue Origin project to travel to space. Many people love Katya. She becomes very successful. Sadly, she sees Katya that engineers in Mexico are not as lucky as her. They often become drivers or repairmen. They cannot find a job in engineering.

Katya returns to Mexico. She wants to change the laws. At the moment, Mexico has no law on the aerospace industry. Companies cannot fly their rockets in Mexico. She wants to change the situation. Then many people can have a job in the aerospace industry.

Difficult words: engineer (a person who makes machines and other structures), engineering (the work to make machines and other structures), aerospace industry (companies which make rockets and satellites to go to space).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What will happen to Katya's efforts to improve the situation for engineers in Mexico?
