Michael Douglas returns to Karlovy Vary film festival – level 3

Hollywood star Michael Douglas is returning to the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival to present a newly restored version of the famous 1975 movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
This special event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Oscar-winning film that Douglas helped produce.
The screening is part of the festival’s ‘Out of the Past’ section, which honors classic cinema. Douglas will be joined by fellow producer Paul Zaentz and members of director Miloš Forman’s family. The film is one of only two in history to win all five major Academy Awards. It was directed by Miloš Forman, a Czech-American filmmaker, and remains important in film history for its powerful storytelling and excellent acting. Douglas also received the Best Picture Oscar for producing the film.
The festival, held in a scenic town in the Czech Republic, celebrates its long connection with the film and its creators. Douglas, Zaentz, and others have all received the festival’s Crystal Globe for their work in cinema.
