Minecraft Lenin – level 2

A new cardboard statue of Lenin is causing controversy in a city in Russia. The statue is 2 metres tall and the popular video game Minecraft inspired it.

Local communists are outraged. They say that the statue is blasphemy and they want the statue destroyed. The creator of the Minecraft Lenin was not expecting a reaction like this.

He did not know that politicians cared about art so much. Since the statue is made of cardboard, it will be down before winter.

Difficult words: controversy (an emotional discussion), outraged (shocked and angry), blasphemy (something which is very disrespectful to someone or something).
