New euro money – level 1

The European Central Bank shows ten designs for new euro money. Bank leaders choose from 1,200 ideas. They pick two main topics.
The first topic shows famous people like Leonardo da Vinci, Marie Curie, and Beethoven. The second topic shows birds and rivers to help protect nature. Now, people who live in Europe can choose their favorite design. They can vote on the bank’s website.
After the vote, the bank will make the new paper money. People will start to use the new euro money at the end of 2026.
Difficult words: topic (the main idea), favorite (when many people like a person or thing), vote (to officially choose a person, idea, or plan).
