Nightclub Troubles – level 3

07-11-2018 07:00

Twenty-two-year-old Kierah Lagrave was slapped on her behind by her friend at a New York nightclub. She did not know that this was her girlfriend, and she thought that it was the club’s bouncer instead.

The 155-centimetre girl was not having any of that and she went for the bouncer. She grabbed him from behind and choked him until he was unconscious. Police charged her with strangling but later released her. Police said that the bouncer did not resist because he thought it was a friend playing a joke.

Difficult words: bouncer (a nightclub security guard), not have any of that (dislike something a lot), go for (do something or attack someone suddenly), grab (take and hold), choke (press on the neck), unconscious (so that the person collapses, ‘falls asleep’), charge (officially say that somebody did something illegal), strangling (squeezing the neck).
