Organic caviar – level 2
03-03-2026 15:00
In southern Spain, a farm produces organic caviar. The farm makes the caviar only from fish eggs and salt, with no other chemicals. The fish live in clean spring water and eat organic food.
The farm does not hurry the fish to grow. It produces about two tonnes of caviar each year and sells it to many countries. The most expensive caviar can cost 8,000 euros per kilo. The company also sells fish meat.
Managers say the organic label shows that the product is high quality. Some restaurants now use caviar more often because it is not as expensive as before. Most caviar in the world comes from China.
Difficult words: organic (grown or made without artificial chemicals), caviar (fish eggs), label (a piece of information on a product), quality (how good something is).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What two ingredients are used to make the farm’s organic caviar?
