Parents take children out of big schools – level 1
06-11-2026 15:00
Many parents in Denmark are taking their kids out of big schools. Normal classrooms are too loud and hard for some children.
A boy named Olav has autism. He only goes to school a few hours a week. He mostly learns outside on a farm with his family. Parents are starting local groups where kids can play, work with their hands, and feel safe without stress.
Experts say that schools need to change because kids learn in different ways today. These groups help families stay happy and keep learning every day.
Difficult words: loud (not quiet), autism (a change in a person’s brain which impacts thinking, speaking, and understanding the world), local (when something is in an area or neighborhood near you).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
Where does Olav mostly learn, and what activities can children do in the local groups?
