Pele dies – level 2

Pele was one of the best soccer players in the world; he died on Thursday.

Pele’s career as a soccer player lasted 21 years, and during this time, he scored 1,283 goals and won three times at the World Cup. He changed the world of soccer and became one of the biggest icons of the 20th century. People loved him for his skills and his humble personality, as he loved helping others. He grew up in poverty, and he made millions of people proud to be Brazilians.

Pele died from cancer in a hospital in Sao Paulo at the age of 82.
