People in Albania protest against a resort for the rich – level 1

Many people in Albania are very angry. They are shouting in the streets. A rich man wants to build big hotels on a beautiful island. His name is Jared Kushner. He is part of Donald Trump’s family. Trump’s daughter is Kushner’s wife.
Kushner wants to change a quiet, green island into a place for rich people. The people in Albania are mad because the government does not say anything about it. People read about it in the papers. People are bringing toy flamingos to the protests. They want to save the flamingos and the clean water. Many birds live there, and big hotels will destroy their homes. They want to keep their beautiful island safe.
Kushner has a similar plan in Serbia. But angry people stop his plan there.
Difficult words: wife (the woman who a man is married to), rich (when you have a lot of money), papers (papers with daily news), flamingo (a large pink bird).
