Prince Andrew loses his title – level 2
04-11-2025 07:00
King Charles took away all royal titles from his brother Andrew, who is no longer called “Prince” or “Duke of York.” Andrew also had to leave his big home in Windsor.
This happened because Andrew was close to Jeffrey Epstein, a criminal who hurt many people. A woman named Virginia Giuffre said Andrew abused her when she was 17, but Andrew said it was not true. Later, he paid her money to end the case.
Many people in Britain are angry and think the king did the right thing. Some people still want a full police investigation. Even though most people dislike Andrew now, they still support the royal family.
Difficult words: title (a name which shows a rank or position), abuse (when someone treats another person badly, especially by hurting them physically or emotionally), investigation (a careful check to find the truth).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What did Virginia Giuffre allege Andrew had done when she was 17?
