Robert Redford dies – level 2

19-09-2025 07:00

Robert Redford, the famous Hollywood actor, has died at the age of 89. He acted in big films such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and All the President’s Men.

Later, Redford also became a film director and won an Oscar for Ordinary People. In 1978, he created the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, which gave young filmmakers a chance to show their work. People know Redford not only for his acting but also for his political and environmental work. Even in his later years, he continued acting, with movies like All is Lost.

His publicist said he died peacefully at his home in Utah, surrounded by family. We will remember an actor, a director, and a man who changed cinema.

Difficult words: director (a person who makes a movie), environmental (about nature, the earth, and how we care for it), surrounded (to have people or things all around you).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

Which film festival did he create in Utah in 1978 to give young filmmakers a chance to show their work?
