Sharks: New suits keep people safer

In Australia, experts at Flinders University test new wetsuits for people in the sea. These suits help when a shark bites.

Shark bites do not happen many times, but they are very bad when they do. The new suit has very strong fabric. It helps the person have smaller cuts and lose less blood.

The people test the suits with white sharks and tiger sharks. The new suit is better than the normal one. Old metal suits are too big and hard to move in. The new one is lighter and easier for surfers to use. It helps them stay safe in the water.

Difficult words: wetsuit (a piece of clothing which people wear in water, usually surfers or divers), bite (to use the teeth to cut or injure), fabric (cloth or material for clothes).
